Our Teachers

Thara Ehknyaw and Tharamoo Ehdohsay

They have faithfully served first at Lay Klo Yaw and now at Sunshine Orchard, Ehknyaw is one of our Bible teachers. They always have villagers, students, orphans, relatives and friends staying in their home.

Often Ehdohsay keeps sick students or villagers in her care, she is also a teacher.

Ehknyaw is the person we call upon to help in every need, he knows everyone, is very social and friendly is often heard singing and always has a big smile for everyone.

Thara Timothy and Tharamoo Pawkgadoo

Our newest addition, Thara Timothy is our Burmese teacher and his wife is our sewing teacher. Although new to Sunshine Orchard they have made themselves at home and are very happy. We can tell that Thara Timothy is dedicated, honest and faithful, his wife has what we call spunk, she is not afraid to share her thoughts which is a somewhat rare thing among the Karen women. She has fast become a close friend of Maria's.

Tharamoo Vahneh Paw

Is a faithful and gentle woman, she is our Karen teacher; she is a real good teacher and was Emily's roommate for a long time. She is engaged to Blet Jaw, who is part of Gayle's team.

Tharamoo Shernayree and Thara Surnehtoo

Thara Surneehtoo is one of our Bible teachers and his wife is teaching kindergarten. As most Karen our Bible teacher likes to laugh and is very devoted to his family, His wife is soon due to have another baby.

Thara Sumehoh

This is our youngest teacher, he is an excellent teacher and very beloved. As he is younger than some of our students, he is very much of a friend to all, although not in the best of health due to a heart condition, he is always smiling.

Tharamoo Naw Petswee

This is our kindergarten Thai teacher, she is very sweet and quiet, an excellent teacher.

We are missing the picture of Thara Dabu and his wife due to them being in the hospital for the birth of their baby.

We also soon hope to add pictures of the rest of our staff.
